About us – Nzgolfodds
Golf odds, and the markets of other individual sports, are the focus of this site, seen through the rules that apply in New Zealand. It explains how outright and head-to-head prices are built and what a promotion asks of a punter. Bets are not taken here, tips are not sold and no return is promised.
What is not offered
There are no accounts, no stakes and no picks sold as certain. A bet guaranteed to win does not exist, and a page that suggested otherwise would be wrong.
Legal status of providers
No register of licensed bookmakers exists in New Zealand, since one provider only is lawful. TAB NZ, through TAB and Betcha, has been the sole business permitted to offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand from 28 June 2025. The Department of Internal Affairs, the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025 are the sources. DIA says an overseas company offering such bets is breaking the law; the law is aimed at the operator and not at the punter. Appearing on a list does not make a bookmaker licensed.
Handling sources
The provider’s own terms, help pages and footers supply facts about the provider, and statute text and public-body publications supply the legal facts. Because odds and offers change fast, any figure is dated and placed. When a source runs out, the text says so in words and gives no invented number.
Who the pages are for
Adults in New Zealand are the intended readers, as TAB NZ accepts bets from 18 only. The pages are not legal or tax advice. If betting begins to take a larger place than planned, the Gambling Helpline and Safer Gambling Aotearoa are the places to turn.
